when stomach calls, use your discman
its truly wierd where your calling comes from. it could be from the job portals, it could be from the husband spouse, it could be from w-h-e-r-e-v-e-r!
There's a calling that can put one under tremendous duress. Yes, Nature also, but this not about nature's call, its about the stomach. What a trouble the human (or animal) has to undergo when this type of calling ensues.
I remember, I had just returned after a 7km run (the additional 5 km because of the street dog which didn't leave me at all!), and as soon as i rushed home, i just felt like eating the next person i meet! A part of my shoes got bitten. (the socks tasted yuck, i tell you). I actually considered the chair i was sitting on.
It was at this prime moment of search that my eyes fell on the Cadbury's 5 Star Crunchy, which the neighbours kid was munching. he's 3 years old. My eyes didn't see anything else. I had to lure him into him voluntarily giving me the delicacy (the bruises of the last time, when i snatched the lollipop he was sucking, reminded me to be gentle).
I showed my discman (my running partner) to the kid. He saw and saw and saw. He kept seeing the same. I told him, it sings. He wanted to listen.
And that was the deal!
Thats how the discman saved my stomach.
